 WSU Recognizes Community Engagement

Community Partner Awards were given to WSU faculty at the fourth Annual Presidential Engaged Partnership Celebration.
​WINONA, Minn. – Winona State University held the fourth Annual Presidential Engaged Partnership Celebration April 10.

The awards honor the work and commitment of student leaders, faculty and staff, and community partners who assist in the education of students.


Community Partner Awards were given to: Sara Gabrick, Winona Health; Andy Maus and Heather Casper, Minnesota Marine Art Museum; and Steve Lansing, Empower CTC. Gabrick was also the winner of the Minnesota Campus Compact Presidents’ Community Partner Award for WSU.


Engaged Student Award Winners included Amanda Glunz, Spanish-English program for Winona Area Public Schools, Project FINE, and Voces Spanish Club; Ashley Rundle, Women Survivors Unite in Exercise; and Cassandra Bly, Winona State Legal Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Astronomy Club and Habitat for Humanity. Glunz was also the winner of the Minnesota Campus Compact Presidents’ Student Leader Award for WSU.


Steward Awards were given to three WSU employees: Alex Hines, Director of Inclusion and Diversity; Chun Lok Mah, assistant professor of art; and Larry Holstad, director of athletics.
